A Review Of All the Different Nintendo DS models And Buying Tips

Saturday, February 13th, 2010

Over five years ago, Nintendo jump started the portable videogame  market by introducing the DS. Hailed as a vastly popular device,  the DS boasted an innovative design, great games and is  responsible for introducing gaming to a broader market. Since then, Nintendo have released a number of updates and new models, but which of the  different Nintendo DS models is right for gamers?

Regardless of being the  oldest and most outmoded console, the first DS remains popular. New  models are not sold in stores, but many are found for cheap costs online,  which adds to their popularity. The original model is also fitted to play  the earliest versions of gaming titles which are not accessible to the  later models. If gamers can get past the size and weight, this model  is great for those on a budget, the most cost-effective  of the different Nintendo DS models.

Up next, the DS Lite did not offer a  enormous deviation from the features of the first, but as the  name says it cut the weight and size impressively.  Apparently the DS Lite also offers the best battery life of all the  different Nintendo DS models, even judged against the more modern ones. The DS Lite  is still generally popular with those who like  less expensive consoles and are not worried about the additional features of the  DSi.

Nintendo DSi produced the most prominent change to the  features. Adding tons of awesome new multimedia functions,  including game downloads and dual cameras. Also, all the features of the  original DS were built upon, with the display and sound being expanded. The DSi  is the most technically impressive of the different Nintendo DS models, and currently the  hottest.

And with the DSi XL coming shortly, there’s  plenty of choice when making a purchase. The earlier devices offer  lesser features and sheen, but are cheap and still offer  great gaming. But if you’re after multimedia capabilities and more bang  for your buck, the later incarnations are a smart choice.  One thing is  certain though, all the different Nintendo DS models offer a brilliant gaming  choice!

The Easy Way To Download From PC To PSP

Monday, September 14th, 2009

In our age of the Internet everything can be reached with a click.  You name it and you have it.  The same applies with videogames and flicks too. When you need to load your PSP with these, what you need to do is to have a look for the sites where these are available and then take your pick from a good range of options.

PSP download is not really rocket science.  Most often it’s easy and one can easily give it a try by yourself.  The times of running to a gaming vendor or a CD library are long gone.  With the assistance of the web you can satisfy all your gaming desires whilst sat at home.

If you want to download a PSP title the following list will steer you into the process :

1.  Firstly you must increase the space on your PSP as it must house the PSP download.  Most downloads are more than 32 MB, which is what the in-built memory stick provides.  So it is likely that you need to get an extra memory stick.

2.  Search on the internet to discover PSP friendly games or movies.  When you do a PSP download it is better to use caution concerning the material.  Be careful of any pathogen or corrupt downloads that will infect your console.  Also it will pay to find out whether what you are getting contains the whole or just part of the file.  Once you have decided what you want and are finished with these checks, save the desired files on your PC browser.

3.  The majority of these files are generally zipped.  So you want software such as Winzip ( in your PC ) or Stuffit Expander ( in your MAC ) to unzip these and make them prepared for a move to your PSP.

4.  Link your PSP to the PC with aid from a USB wire which is incorporated with your PSP.  What you want to do following this is to bring your PSP to a link that’s USB compatible and ta da!  Your gaming portable is now prepared for a PS3 download!

5.  Copy the file to your PSP and disengage it from the computer.  You are now able to enter the game on the former.  However, similar to most other things in life, this easy and freely available facility has its drawback.  More frequently than not various sites are infested with spyware and fraudulent content.  These may cause significant damage to your personal computer.  So be careful concerning the site from which you get your PS3 download and happiness is merely a click away!

Personal Skill is Required With These Online Casino Games

Saturday, July 4th, 2009

If you want to win more often, you have to rely on skill.  Luck revolves around the idea of a table or machines getting hot, which doesn’t happen that often.

Roulette, poker, and blackjack, these are all games that, with some skill, you will have a greater chance of winning.  Online slots, however, is a game in which you have no say over the outcome.  Although you can win a lot of money playing slots, you can also lose a lot of money and no amount of skill will shift the advantage in your favor.

If you want to win more often at the casinos, then I recommend building your skills, and playing games that allow you to utilize those skills.

Casino Games That Require Skill: Blackjack.  Blackjack is a relatively easy game to learn. There are many online blackjack strategy guides that, will help increase your chances of winning!  The average blackjack player guesses when to hit, and when to stand.  The experienced blackjack player knows when to hit, and when to stand, all based on a winning blackjack strategy guide.  This translates into more wins over a longer period of time.

Roulette.  Even though roulette is a game of luck in a lot of instances, it does require some skill, knowing which bets are good, which ones are bad, winning depends on what wagers you make. I’d much rather play roulette than slots.  At least if I loose while playing roulette, I know that it was because of my bad selections, not because of conditions out of my control.

Poker.  Its very self-evident that the game of poker relies on skill, and a bit of luck. When a poker player is great, they are almost unbeatable.  They are usually in the final three of every major poker tournament.  If you are serious about winning, you should really spend your time developing your skills and strategies.   After all, the more skill you have, the more often you are going to win.

Most online casinos nowadays offered attractive sing-up bonuses as well as first-deposit matching bonuses.  You can find some great, downloadable software, all for free on a number of sites like Greek Isles Casino, Green Valley Ranch or Harrahs Cherokee.

The Chinese Game of Sic Bow Now Available on your Desktop

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Sic bo (also known as tai sai, dai siu, big and small or hi-lo) is an ancient Chinese game that’s played with dice and has been played for money from as far back as thousands of years ago. The word ’sic bo’ actually means ‘Dice pair’. Today sic bo is likely to be available at your favorite online casino, as well as in land-based gambling hot spots such as Las Vegas – although it may be a bit difficult at times to find the sic bo tables at a casino because they won’t be as prominent as the slot machines or blackjack tables. The sic bo tables are usually tucked away in some corner of the casino – along with other popular Asian gambling games.

Much like in roulette sic bo offers you the option of placing many different types of bets. Players place their sic bo bets by placing chips on different spots on the table (much like is done for roulette). You place your bets, the dice are rolled and you win or lose. The losing bets are collected by the croupier and the winners are paid. Sic bo is as simple as that. Although there really isn’t much strategy to sic bo, it can be a fun game to play.

Below is a list of the sic bo bets that you can make. The payoffs on some bets will vary from casino to casino, so for those bets a range of viable payoffs is indicated.

* Small: Wins on total of 4-10, except for a 3 of a kind. Probability of winning is 48.61%. Pays 1 to 1. House edge is 2.78%.

* Big: Wins on total of 11-17, except for a 3 of a kind. Probability of winning is 48.61%. Pays 1 to 1. House edge is 2.78%.

* Total of 4 and 17: Pays 50 to 1 in Macau, 60 to 1 in Atlantic City, and 62 to 1 in Australia.

5 Golden Rules for Online Blackjack Players

Friday, July 3rd, 2009

Here are a few blackjack tips that we hope you’ll find useful.

1.  Use basic blackjack strategy – because it reduces the house edge to less than 1%.  Of course, the house edge will be lowered to that level only if you are flawless in the use of basic blackjack strategy.

2.  Play at blackjack tables where the dealer must stand on all 17s.  This reduces the house edge a little – compared to situations where the dealer hits soft 17, which actually increases the house advantage.

3.  If you don’t know how to use the insurance bet, don’t attempt use it – it’s one of the worst at the blackjack table.  It may seem like a good bet in the beginning, but once you really think about it and calculate a few numbers, there’s too much of an edge against you, so stay far away from it.

4.  Play against as few decks as possible.  It’s always at your advantage to do this.

5.  Don’t be greedy. One thing that can destroy you when gambling is greed.  When playing blackjack you should set limits for yourself and set aside a certain amount to gamble and once you’ve lost that, head for the exit.  Don’t get sucked in, thinking that if you play long enough you’ll win back the money you have lost – it never usually works that way.  Think similarly when you’re winning.  If you have won a certain amount and you’re above what you have set aside for the night, simply put it in your pocket and forget it for the rest of the night.  That way, you might surprise yourself in the end.

Hopefully you’ve found these blackjack tips useful. If you haven’t already done it, you should try playing blackjack at your favorite online casino.  Some selections would be How to Win Blackjack, How to Count Cards Blackjack or Game Blackjack.

Online Casino Slot Machines Take Their Games Up Close and Personal

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Playing slots on the Internet is much the same as playing slot machines in more traditional casinos. You put coins in a slot, pull a lever, and hope the same pictures on the reels all line up.  However, online slots give you the convenience of being able to play without having to leave your home, any time of the day.  And on most sites, the payout is set as high as the highest machines in Las Vegas.

Like its real life counterpart, online slots are one of the most popular casino games.  Many people find slots less stressful and easier to play than games such as blackjack and roulette. They are a simple, carefree games.  If you have never played online slots, you may want to start by finding a site that lets you play with virtual money.  That way you can familiarize yourself with the game without losing money.  Once you are comfortable playing, you can start playing with real money.

Just as with traditional slots, when playing online slots you get the potential to make money, but you also have the potential to lose money.  Check into sites to find out which have the highest payout percentage.  Many people worry that they may get cheated; but these machines are powered by random number generators, and the results of every game is completely random.

If you go to reputable sites, you do not have to worry about being cheated. The best way to avoid scams is to read reviews and try multiple sites.  Some people also worry about using their credit card online.  Again, if you do research and go to reputable site, you don’t have to worry.  Your credit card information will be sent over encrypted connections.  Just to make sure, do a spyware and virus scan on your computer before putting in your credit card number anywhere on the Internet.  Just as with factual life slots, there are different types of online slots.

Although all online slots are really just visual representations of three, and five reel slots, they all have very real slots jackpots. Do not worry about what type you play, just be sure to always have fun! You can find free slot software on sites like Free Online Slot, Free Online Slot Machine or Free Online Slots Games.

Roulette Games Get Up Close and Personal

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Roulette is often said to be the casual casino player’s game of choice. It’s quite easy to walk up to the roulette table and simply place a bet – at the roulette table, no one is typically sitting down, and there is no maximum number of players – so it’s almost as though you’re always welcome at the roulette table. Additionally, it’s an easy-paced casino game that just about anyone can learn the basics of by just watching a few spins.

The game of roulette is a negative expectation one – i.e. over the long run you are expected to lose. Here are a few things you should know in order to at least get better looking odds than anyone else at the roulette table. On American roulette tables, all bets calculate out to the same house edge of 5.25%. The single exception to this rule is the 5-number bet, which has an even worse edge of 7.29%.

How then can you get better odds? Here are a few tips:

1. Keep an eye out for is a rule called ‘surrender’. Surrender is available at many casinos. The rule only applies to outside even money bets, and it doesn’t affect the edge of your whole session. This rule simply cuts your losses in half in the instance of a green pocket hitting. So if you’re betting an even money outside bet and a double zero or zero hits, you only lose half of your bet, not the entire thing. This of course pulls the house edge on outside even money bets down to 2.63%, which is definitely a lot better.

2. Look out for the single zero roulette wheel, i.e. the European roulette wheel. A European roulette wheel has a single zero pocket, and no double zero. There are only a total of 37 pockets left on the wheel, which does cut the casino house edge. This small and subtle shift lowers the house edge on all bets (not just the outside even money ones) to 2.70%. Very very nice.

Hopefully you’ve found our roulette information useful. If you haven’t already done it, you should try playing roulette at your favorite online casino via sites like: Play Online Free Roulette, Play Free Roulette or Online Roulette Poker.

Craps Gambling Gets Personal Via Online Casinos

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

At a glance, the game of craps may look complicated, but in actuality it is really quite simple. Here’s a simple craps game flow for you to grasp:

If the come-out roll is a 7 or 11 (which craps rules label a natural) the don’t pass loses and the pass line wins. The shooter (person rolling the dice) has another chance to set a point and rolls another come out roll immediately. If the come-out roll is a 2, 3, or 12 (called ‘craps’) the don’t pass line wins, or ties and the pass line loses. The don’t pass bet is a tie when the come-out roll is a 12. The shooter once again gets another chance to set a point. In order to pass the dice along the shooter must first set a point, and then ‘7-out’ by hitting a seven before he/she hits the point number again.

If the come-out roll is a 4, 5, 6, 8, 9, or 10 then that number becomes known as the ‘point’. The dealers will then place a little puck with the word ‘ON’ written on it and put it on top of the number that is the ‘point’ on the layout. This is just to remind players that the session is on, and what the point number is. Before the dealer did this, the puck would have been just off the table with the ‘OFF’ side up. Any don’t pass line or pass line bets at this point are in a state of limbo, waiting for more action to determine their outcome. Do you have a craps strategy? We’ll discuss this further soon.

The shooter will keep rolling until one of 2 things happen: if they roll the number that they had set to the point (i.e. they made the point) the don’t pass bettors lose and the pass line bettors win. If a 7 is rolled before the point number is rolled (which is called 7-out), the winners are the reverse: don’t pass bettors win and pass line bettors lose. In both instances, the round is over. How’s that for simple craps game play.

If you haven’t already done it, you should try playing craps at your favorite online casino.  Check out Craps Roulette, Craps Probability or Craps Practice for more information and free craps software downloads.

Caribbean Stud Poker Games Get Personal on Your PC

Thursday, July 2nd, 2009

Does a Caribbean stud poker strategy exist that will make the house’s edge reasonable?  Unfortunately, the answer is no unless the jackpot is at a high level.  To explain further…  Caribbean stud Poker offers a sizable house advantage of over 5% – not in terms of cards but by way of the betting structure.  The fact that you MUST bet three times in order to stay in a hand definitely does not help your advantage.  The times that the dealer does not qualify (44% of the tim), you only win your ante – which in most instances isn’t very much. On the other hand, if you decide to fold, you lose your ante and the round is over.

For Caribbean stud poker, there is no room for ‘dumb’ play – the house edge is already high enough to take care of that.  Despite the overwhelming house advantage, there are a few little things that you can do to better your odds, here we go:

1. Always fold if you hold nothing.
2. If the setting isn’t right, don’t make the bet.
3. Always make the bet with a pair of better.
4. If you hold ace-king, make the bet if one of your other three cards matches the dealer’s up card.
5. Make the bet if you hold ace-king-queen or ace-king-jack when the dealer’s up card is any of your five cards.

Most all online casinos now offer you a free bonus deposits. Some are known as sign-up bonuses, here if you deposit a certain amount of money the casino will match it the first time (up to a set limit) these types of bonuses tend to stay in the hundreds of dollars. Past types of free money amounts can be anything from 20 – 50 dollars, and even much more depending on your sign-up deposit – so be sure to cut out good online casino reviews.

Caribbean stud poker is typically available at your favorite online casino. It and other casino favorites such as the slots and roulette can be played directly online. Try it for yourself if you haven’t already via sites like Free Deuces Wild Poker, Free Online Slots Video Poker or Casino Poker Games.
